Santa rides thru Unity districtDecember 22nd, 2007 - Santa rode around Unity district Saturday evening to see all the children and give out candy canes in preparation for Christmas.
Luncheon with SantaDecember 15th, 2007 - Santa stopped by Unity VFD Saturday for a luncheon visit with children from the area. Kids got to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas and got pictures with the jolly old fellow also.
Birthday PartyOn Saturday June 24th, 2007 Unity Vfd's Truck 233 went on a Birthday Party detail
Walk at Boyce ParkOn Saturday May 19th, 2007 the Network of Hope had a walk and picnic at Boyce Park. Unity Engine 233-2 leads the walk and showed the kids and parents our firetruck. Engine 233-2 crew was Jeff Currie, Glenn Kopec Jr. and Greg Bradley.
Scout tour of fire stationOn Saturday Feb. 17th, 2007 we had a Tiger Scout/Daisies tour of the Fire Station. Pictured below are some of the scouts on top of the ladder truck. Capt. Joe Kaiser, FF Tim Poth, Jr. FF's David Bender & Greg Bradley showed the kids our trucks and equipment.
Santa rides thru Unity's districtOn Saturday Dec. 16th, 2006 Santa visited our fire district to see the kids before Christmas. Our elves helped out Santa by handing out candy canes.

Cub Scout tour of fire stationOn Saturday Dec. 3rd, 2006 we had Cub Scout Troop 874 from Plum tour the fire station. Pictured below are some of the scouts practicing hooking up to hydrant and using hose to put out a fire. Lt. Joe Kaiser and FF Tim Poth showed the kids our trucks and equipment. Fire Prevention & SafetyUnity VFD Station 233 stresses the importance of fire safety and provides a opportunity for children to see fire equipment and how it works. We cater to pre-school programs at Children's Express, Sunnyside Day Care and St.John's pre-school. Our children are our future. That is why we have such strong ties to the schools in our area, Regency Park Elementary, Center Elementary, and Pivik Elementary teaching the kids the five basic rules for them and their parents to learn and live by.

Public Relations / Demonstrations
Public Relations - Our Fire Prevention committee also handles many public relation duties such as Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scout tours of the Fire Station. We make appearances at picnics, block parties and Halloween parades for the kids to see our equipment. We also do Public releations details at Unity U.P. Church, Plum Creek Presbyterian Church, St. John's the Baptist Catholic and the Nazarene Church. Open House - We hold an open house every year at the end of Fire Prevention week.
