US OPEN week June 11th - June 17th

US Open week is over and the crews from Unity VFD and all our mutual aid personnel
did a great job. The Fire crews handled some small fire/haz mat incidents during
the week and assisted ems with some calls as well. We provided fire protection
all seven days of the event from 6:00am to 7:00pm (some days later).
Thanks to all the help from Allegheny County Emergency Services,
(their Command Truck and Logistics resources were outstanding),
Renton VFD for the your personnel and Attack 234, Pierce Mfg. for the use of
the Mini-Pumper for the week, Plum Ems and Plum Police for their continued support
and all our mutual aid companies that helped us out for the week. And finally
to the USGA and Oakmont Country Club who made this event possible for a memorable
week.
